NLA & Chapter Leadership Nominations — Now Open

Nominations are open through January 31, 2026

 

You may nominate a candidate for National Lipid Association (NLA) National Board positions and/or Chapter Board positions (SWLA, SELA, MWLA, NELA, PLA).

NLA National Board positions

• President-Elect
• Secretary-Treasurer
• Executive Council Chair (3 positions)
• At-Large Board Member

Chapter Board positions (SWLA, SELA, MWLA, NELA, PLA)

• President-Elect
• Treasurer
• Secretary
• At-Large Board Member

What to submit (required items)

A nomination is considered complete once all items below are received.
You may submit materials in separate emails / at different times—the full package does not need to arrive all at once.

Required materials:

1. Letter of recommendation from an NLA member describing the nominee’s service, contributions, and character (for the specific position)

2. Letter from the nominee stating interest, leadership suitability, and acceptance of responsibilities

3. Nominee CV

4. Conflict of Interest (COI) disclosure form (NLA staff will request this from the nominee after items 1–3 are submitted)

Important notes

• Letters from current leadership are helpful; for National positions, letters from Chapter Presidents are strongly recommended.

• Multiple letters of recommendation are encouraged but not required.

• Self-nominations are accepted for Chapter Board positions only (not for National Board consideration).

• Incomplete nomination packages will not be considered.
